Our High Streets Still Suffering

ARE WE WAVING GOODBYE TO OUR LOCAL HIGHSTREET? Our local High Streets have been suffering in the consumer downturn. Customers have been watching their pennies amid concerns about high inflation and job security. Recently we have lost many large retailers that have been hit by the economic climate and the increasing online competition. In many cases we are talking about million pound companies that have been forced to close their doors for a final time, including Blockbuster, JJB Sports, HMV, Comet and Jessops.
However despite this, in our local Chelsea community it may give power back to our local and independent retailers. We always want to support, promote and help any local initiative, community or local retailer that can help provide a local service to residents and local businesses.
